The SUPIMA Design Competition is an Annual event that allows 1 graduating student from the top shools in the country to design and showcase a 5 look collection. Each Finalist is challenged to create a collection centered around fabric manipulation. SUPIMA Provides 5 Cotton Fabrics: Denim, Velveteen, Twill, Shirting and Jersey. Each look represents 1 fabric. Only 25% of each look could include an outside fabric.
My collection was inspired by Japanese street culture. This scene from the movie, "Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift", really captured the feeling and essence of what I wanted this collection to be. Arcades, street racing, architecture, Japanese streetwear as well as bringing my futuristic design aesthetic to these ideas.

Custom Developed print that was hand painted, digitized and printed on all 5 fabrics. All Fabrics were also custom dyed for the solid sections of the collection. SUPIMA provided a stipend to cover costs for these services.
