As I was finishing the SUPIMA Design Competition, I was presented with the opportunity to collaborate with NETFLIX and FIDM. I was one of 4 hand picked designers who designed red carpet looks as part of, "The School for Good and Evil Design Challenge". We were also paired up with influencers that would be wearing our looks for the movies' red carper premier.
I was given the School for Evil to design from. I was heavily inspired by Charlize Theron's character, Lady Lesso who is the head of the School for Evil.
Lady Lesso had looks that were very menswear inspired. Much like in the photos, I wanted to design a 2 piece suit that was modern, sexy, sleek yet futuristic. Her red hair was also an inspiration as I often associate the color red with being in a rage; or being "evil".
